The School of Nursing is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and practice to provide quality nursing education for beginning professional practitioners and for advanced practice nursing statewide.

To accomplish this mission, faculty support a liberal arts education to provide a foundation for the art, humanities, and science of nursing. Faculty incorporate creativity in the teaching-learning process and continuous quality improvement in curriculum and program development.
The goal of the School of Nursing, is to develop professional and advanced practice nurses with broad based knowledge and experience to facilitate or deliver holistic health care to clients over their lifespan and to communities with an emphasis on underserved areas.
