By 1915, Pocatello was booming. The Pocatello Commercial Club published a promotional booklet in December that touted the city as “Idaho’s Potential Metropolis.” Emphasizing the fact that within two decades of incorporation Pocatello had grown to a city of 16,000 people, the promoters boasted of modern residential areas, extensive transportation facilities, and “a business section...graced with many clean, imposing structures.”
