    Idaho State University

    Position: Assistant Professor of Statistics; full-time, nine-month, tenure track starting August 2009.

    Responsibilities: Responsible for teaching advanced and undergraduate courses in statistics, active research in statistics, and participation in the further development of existing BS degree in statistics.

    Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field completed by contract starting date, evidence of quality teaching, ability to perform research in statistics, and potential for interdisciplinary collaboration. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in geological or hydrologic sciences, biostatistics, or data mining.

    About ISU: The mathematics department has 2.5 full-time statisticians and is committed to developing an active group of applied statisticians. The department recently added a statistics major and minor as options within the mathematics department

    Salary: Commensurate with qualifications. It includes a competitive benefits package.
