Richard Smith, Adjunct Faculty, Advertising/Public Relations/Television
Richard A. Smith graduated with honors from Ithica College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Cinema Studies and Photography. He was 90% finished with his Masters Degree in Educational Communications when a job offer called him to New York City
Before moving to Pocatello, Smith split his time between advertising and motion picture production. His advertising has been seen world-wide and his long-form productions have appeared on HBO, The Disney Channel and in syndication via MCA-TV Syndication.
Richard has worked on the advertising staffs of United Artist Pictures, Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Cannon Films. He is a past member of the Directors Guild of America, The Screen Publicists Guild, was "on roster" with the Motion Picture Editors Union (IATSE), and is currently a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Richard owns Richard A. Smith & Associates, a full-service Advertising Agency serving the Intermountain West.
