Daekyung (Danny) Kim, Professor - Media Specialist
Daekyung (Danny) Kim is an assistant professor of digital media. Professor Kim joined the Department of Mass Communication in the fall of 2006. He received his Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC) and his M.A. and B.A. from Dong-A University, Korea. His research areas focus on political and social effects of new communication technologies, international communication, computer-mediated communication. Dr. Kim has presented his research papers at national and international conferences, and his research articles have appeared in the Asian Journal of Communication, Korean Journal of Communication & Information, and the International Communication Gazette. Professor Kim is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and International Communication Association (ICA). Daekyung Kim is teaches Introduction to Mass Media, Photo and Graphic Workshop, Communication through Web Design, and New Media at Idaho State University.
