Daekyung (Danny) Kim, Professor - Media Specialist
Daekyung (Danny) Kim is a Ph. D. candidate in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts in Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC). Danny came in the United States in 2000 and has a M.A. degree of Communication from Dong-A University, Busan, South Korea. Danny will earn a Ph. D. degree in December 2006. The primary topics of his research are new media effects, political communication, and online information process research. He has recently centered on how the Internet can make contributions to citizens' competence and participation in the political process. While studying toward a Ph. D. degree over the last four and half years, Danny has presented many research papers at the major conference, such as International Communication Association (ICA) and Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). More recently, he published the research article at Asian Journal of Communication, 16(1), March 2006. Danny is teaching Photoshop, Web Design, and Introduction to Mass Media at Idaho State University.
