Television Sound Stage - LA 166

Lights, camera, action! This is the place that students create ISU Magazine, a weekly 30-minute television show broadcast on Cable Channel 12 here in Pocatello. ISU magazine, covers ISU news for the Pocatello community.

Television Production Studio - LA 163

This is the nerve center for the TV production studio and classes, soon to be joined with KISU-TV and updated with state-of-the-art digital equipment.

Oxberry Animation Crane

16 and 35 mm film camera mounted on a movable hoist above a movable table. The Oxberry is used to shoot traditional 2D animated films. Located at the James E. Rogers Department of Mass Communication at Idaho State University, this is the only Oxberry animation camera in the Intermountain West.

Digital Audio/Video Editing Suites

This is where students edit digital audio and video using the latest editing software. The studios are used for recording voice-overs, editing video, and other high-end digital media productions including pod-casts.

Graphic Design lab

This is where students learn how to develop visual ideas using color and design theory. The best computing in the world won't turn a bad idea into a great production, so this is a fundamental skill-set that you will need to land that first good job out of college!
