Hello! I'm Dr. Liz Doughty, a resident faculty member for the Department of Counseling at the ISU Boise Center. Before coming to Boise I worked as a counselor in a residential mental health rehabilitation facility and in a community counseling center. Additionally, I have worked with the public school system as a grief counselor. My research interests include issues of loss and grief and multicultural awareness. Specifically I am interested in the current trends relating to bereavement grief, religious and spiritual issues in counseling, and approaches to working with clients from different cultural backgrounds.

My free time usually includes spending time with friends, traveling, and watching old movies. I am originally from Texas and love my native state but I look forward to calling Boise my new home. Feel free to contact me through email or over the phone. I hope to speak with you soon!
