Leigh W. Cellucci is an active member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), where she serves on the Undergraduate Review Committee. She facilitates workshops for healthcare managers, and her speaking, teaching and research interests include disabilities, healthcare management, and healthcare marketing.
Leigh taught at Francis Marion University in South Carolina from 1986 to 1999, where she was a full professor. During her tenure at Francis Marion, she was a Fulbright Scholar to India, co-authored a chapter on HIV and the elderly, and presented over 25 papers at sociology conferences. In addition, she was awarded the American Sociological Association Innovation Teaching Grant and the South Carolina Consortium for International Studies Teaching Grant. She served as President of the South Carolina Sociological Association and was appointed to two South Carolina Governor-initiated committees on Issues on Aging in South Carolina. Since 1999, she has been employed at Idaho State University. She has taught Organizational Behavior and Marketing in the College of Business and is currently teaching Long Term Care, Organizational Behavior in Health Care Organizations, Human Resources in Health Care Organizations, Marketing for Health Care Organizations, and Introduction to Health Care Professions in the Department of Health Care Administration. Her teaching and research interests include disabilities, aging/social gerontology, and medical sociology. She has facilitated workshops for healthcare managers, presented papers at healthcare conferences, and has recently published in The Journal of Health Administration Education.
