How will you continue to integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with graduate students into your teaching, philosophy, etc.?
I will continue to view my teaching in the future from an inquiry based point of view. My fellow and I have redesigned labs this year that I see myself using in the future that are inquiry based.

How has the GK-12 experience changed you, and how has your participation changed the GK-12 project?
The GK-12 experience has changed my perspective on student learning of scientific ideas. I have found that being exposed to the research that is being done intellectually stimulating. I also have thought about how we are preparing students for college at the high school level. I think we could be doing a better job with the rigor of our curriculum. If I was younger in my career I would seriously consider returning to school for a graduate degree and career change. I am considering assisting with summer research. I am very interested in some of the cutthroat trout studies that are being done at ISU. I am not sure that I have changed the GK-12 program but I would like to think that my fellow would have a new understanding of adolescents and the role of the school and teachers in their lives. My fellow this year is going to be a doctor. I think this experience will make him a better doctor as he interacts with his young patients and their parents.
