Special Accomplishments/Interests:
For her Master's project MiKelle developed a virtual electronics lab, where students could experiment with connecting different circuits on the computer. Manipulating these circuits in a virtual environment allows students to make mistakes without destroying expensive laboratory equipment like volt meters and ammeters.

How will you integrate an aspect of GK-12 and your partnership with graduate students into your classroom?

We have introduced the students to the program “Geometers Sketch Pad.” This program will help students integrate technology into their study of mathematics and give them the tools they need to investigate geometric concepts in greater detail. We will continue to use this program throughout the year as students explore geometric concepts through inquiry and discovery activities.


We hope to continue to peak their interests in science with a variety of engaging activities. Our future goals for geometry are to find and implement more engaging projects and replace the drill and practice format that we seem to always fall back on.
