April 21, 2014: Recommendation for a Proposed new Distinguished Professor Rank.
April 21, 2014: Recommendation in support of raising the English Proficiency requirements in the Undergraduate Catalog International Student Admissions policy.
April 21, 2014: Approved an amendment to the Faculty Senate Bylaws recommendation to consolidate and clarify the scheduling of regular, and the calling of additional, Faculty Senate meetings.
March 31, 2014: Approved a recommendation for a Proposed Faculty Constitution for consideration by faculty and administrators, with the understanding that no document will be represented in any setting as the official Constitution without the review and express formal vote and ratification by the ISU faculty. No formal review and voting process can take place until after faculty return in the fall of 2014.
March 31, 2014: Approve a recommendation for a Proposed Ombuds Office Charter to expand the Ombuds Office to include an academic faculty Ombud, a clinical faculty Ombud, and a staff Ombud. The recommendation was sent to Staff Council as well, for them to review, vet with their constituents, and give their input on the proposed Charter.
March 31, 2014: Approved a recommendation for new Faculty Senate Bylaws (which were subsequently approved by the Provost and implemented, with the April 21 amendment incorporated.)
March 31, 2014: Vetted nomination and recommended 1 additional retiring faculty member be granted Emeriti status.
March 17, 2014: Vetted nomination and recommended the award of an Honorary Degree.
March 10, 2014: Vetted nominations and recommended 7 retiring faculty members be granted Emeriti status.
March 10, 2014: Recommendation to lower the number of Resident Credits required for a Bachelor's Degree from 32 to 28 credits.
February 10, 2014: Recommendation accepting mandatory reporting of all midterm grades.
January 27, 2014: Recommendation in support of requiring students to fulfill Objective 1 (Written English) and Objective 3 (Math) in their first year, but not their first semester, at ISU if they have not already met those Objectives.
January 27, 2014: Elected Dr. Nancy Legge and Dr. Peter Denner to serve as chairs of Academic Dishonesty Board and Scholastic Appeals Board, respectively; submitted list of faculty members who volunteered for the pool of these two board, if convened.
December 2, 2013: Recommendation to delete 1 obsolete policy from ISU Policies and Procedures: Bureau of Educational Research and Services.
October 21, 2013: Recommendation to delete 3 obsolete policies from ISU Policies and Procedures: Evaluation of Faculty/Tenure, The Coordinating Board, and Naming Buildings.
September 9, 2013: Recommendation regarding Program Prioritization Criteria and Ranking.
