Mike Holmes graduated in 1960, receiving a B.A. degree in German and Spanish. He is currently writing his 6th book about his family history.
Helga Madland graduated ISU in 1974. Since then, she has taught both German and Spanish for high school, and earned her Ph.D with a major in German and minor in Spanish from University of Washington. She was then awarded the position to teach German at the University of Oklahoma, was chairman of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics for a total of seven years and retired in 2005. She is currently an author of fiction and other genres.
Corey Wilson graduated ISU in 1997 with a B.A. in German and a BA in Secondary Education. He is running in his 6th year of teaching at Burley High School. After graduating from ISU, Mr. Wilson recieved his MS in Instructional and Performance Technology from BSU.
Connor Cathey graduated ISU in 2006 with a B.A. of Arts in French and International Studies. He went on to recieve his Masters degree in 2009 in Norway. He has been living there for the past 5 years, speaking both Norwegian and French.
Megan Morfitt graduated with a degree in French and Political Science in 2003. After graduation, she spent 2 years as an 'Assistante de Langue' at a high school in a very small town in Alsace/Lorraine. Then, in 2005 she moved to Seattle and did an externship at the French/American Chamber of Commerce while tutoring French and ESL. Finally in early 2007, she got a job in project management at an aerospace company. She didn't know it at the time she applied, but the company she worked for (Labinal - Groupe SAFRAN) is actually a French company. In January 2009, she was transferred to work at the headquarters in Toulouse; she has been living there ever since! "It has been an amazing and rewarding opportunity both professionally and personally." "I hope you are doing well. I think of you and KCC often and am so very grateful for everything that you taught me during my 5 years in Pocatello. I wouldn't be living here today if it were not for you two!"
Jason Moss graduated from ISU in 2008. He is currently in Wyoming teaching Spanish and all aspects of Social Studies.
Paul Sebastion completed his BA in Spanish from ISU in 2010, and then finished his MA at Brigham Young University. After finishing his Master's degree, he became an instructor at the College of Idaho as an introductory-level Spanish instructor. He also has had the opportunity to present at regional and national conferences on various topics involving the use of technology in the foreign language classroom. He is currently working on publishing his MA thesis and hopes to present it at an upcoming conference at the University of Hawai'i.
