(Determined by the GateKeeper process running every 30 seconds)

Resource Item Definition
MYISU queue (# entries) Dynamic value showing the number of clients waiting in line(queue) for MyISU
FSTOOLS queue (# entries) Dynamic value showing the number of clients waiting in line(queue) for FSTools
Logged Users (# entries) Number of clients removed from the queue because:
  • they were given access to one of the portals
  • they were determined to be inactive
FSTOOLS
accessed in last # minute interval		 Reports number of clients given access to FSTools for a given period of time.
The two numbers reported are the following:
  • configurable minute interval utilized to determine wait time rate
  • number of clients extracted from database for the interval
MYISU
accessed in last # minute interval		 Reports number of clients given access to MyISU for a given period of time.
The two numbers reported are the following:
  • configurable minute interval utilized to determine wait time rate
  • number of clients extracted from database for the interval
Wait Time rate: # minutes Dynamic value showing average wait time per client.
Calculated by dividing minute interval by number of clients served in that interval.
Time: date and time Dynamic value showing the current date and time on the server

Resource Score Calculated value determined by comparing the following values to
configurable thresholds:
  • Active PHCGI (Powerhouse Web) Processes.*
  • HP1 TCP Connections (Total Raw Connections).*
  • HTTPS (secure server) Connections.*

Resource Limits
  • MyISU
  • FSTools
 Configurable value that determines the maximum Resource Score
allowed before portal access is shutdown for each queue.
PHCGI Processes Dynamic value showing the total number of active
Powerhouse Web(PHWeb) CGI processes running on UX7:
  • These processes were initiated by a current PHWeb customer
    submitting a request for information
  • This value is utilized in determining the Resource Score.
  • The value is compared to phcgi_procs: good/bad/ugly thresholds.*

HP1 Connections Dynamic value showing the total number of TCP connections
between UX7 and HP1:
  • This value is utilized in determining the Resource Score
  • The value is compared to hp1_tcp_conns: good/bad/ugly thresholds*

HTTPS Connections Dynamic value showing the total number of TCP connections
between UX7 and HP1:
  • This value is utilized in determining the Resource Score
  • The value is compared to https_conns_good/bad/ugly thresholds*

Load 1/5/15 minutes Dynamic values showing current load on UX7 for the last 1/5/15 minutes:
(Low: 0/5; Moderate: 5/10; High: 10+)
Queue Limit The total number of clients allowed into a queue at one time
Refresh Period 1
Refresh Period 2		 Value determines the length of time in seconds before a client process
refreshes and recalculates its queue position. All clients with a queue
position less than CLOSE POSITION use Refresh Period 1 and all others
use Period 2
Close Position Value that determines the switching point between the refresh periods
Stale Period Configurable value utilized to determine number seconds before
a record in the queue is considered inactive.
Remove Stale Value calculated as Stale Period + 300 used to determine
when an inactive entry is removed
Resource Margin Configurable value determining maximum Resource Score allowed
before new client browser connections are placed in line(queue)
  • If no line(queue) exists and Resource Score is below this value
    then Resources are Available and immediate access is granted
  • As long as a line(queue) exists this value will be ignored
Allow Entry Count:
  • MyISU
  • FSTools
 Configurable value utilized to determine number of clients to
allow entry to portals at next refresh for each queue.
All Current Configuration Values:
(good, bad, ugly)		 Good: Maximum value where performance is favorable
Bad: Maximum value where performance is a concern.
Ugly: Maximum value where performance is poor.
