Job Processing #3

Report Output Disposition

  1. Production Output

    1. Distribution

All output must be maintained by Computer Operations. All output performed on work requests will require the signature of the individual picking up the report. Output for Information Systems analysts and programmers (user MGR) and other Computer Center staff will be placed in the slots by the window in front of Computer Operations.
    2. Output Preparation

Upon successful completion of a production job all production reports will be stored by Computer Operations. In the event that all processing is completed, computer operators are to begin preparing the production reports (bursting, trimming, etc.) in accordance with instructions on the accompanying work request.
    3. Logging Work

The evening computer operator will log and store the work. At the time the work is stored the computer operator will check each job to make sure all of the job listings are separated.
    4. Print Email Work Request

Work requests obtained through email will be printed and placed with the output. This will be necessary particularly for jobs which may not have completed normally.
  2. Tape Processing

Computer Operations will provide a communication sheet whenever work requests do not specify an expiration date for a tape to be created. The job may be processed, but the communication sheet must have an expiration date when returned.
