The Literary Association
![]()
the undergraduate club for English majors and other literary types
Activities include co-sponsoring (with EGSA) a yearly graduate conference, and organizing an annual Marathon Reading. This year's selection is Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones.
Creative Writing Group
meets at the 5th Street Bagelry every Friday from 9 to 11am
You do not need to be a student or a member of the literary association to participate, and you do not need to come every time. The creative writing group is for anyone who enjoys writing poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, OR for anyone who thinks they would enjoy reading other participants' writing. We occasionally do some writing exercises, but the bulk of our weekly hour is devoted to discussing the work of those who would like to share their writing and receive feedback. It's fun and laid back!
For more information, email Colin Meldrum (the group coordinator) at: meldcoli@isu.edu. If you are interested but it doesn't fit your schedule, email to discuss alternative times.
