Curriculum

The physical therapy (PT) curriculum at Idaho State University (ISU) contains an academic and a clinical component. The academic component is designed to provide the student with the communication and interpersonal skills, the basic scientific understanding, and preliminary lab practice of evaluation and treatment techniques required for the of practice physical therapy. The clinical component is designed to provide the student with diverse experiences for applying the information covered during the academic portion, with feedback and guidance from a physical therapist designated as the student's clinical instructor. This combination of academic and clinical learning experiences enhances the student's knowledge, technical skills, and confidence in the clinical setting.
