Experience:
- Instructor - University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL - August 2001 to July 2004. Has taught a variety of courses, with primary responibilities in the areas of kinesiology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and orthopedics. Participated in the writing of our recent accreditation self-study and has temporarily served in the position of ACCE for the program. Served on the program's admissions and curriculum committees and has co-chaired the College of Health Reserch and Scholarly Activities Committee. Maintained an active research agenda working with other faculty and students in the program.
- Associate Professor of On-line Education - University of St. Augustine - Instructor for the on-line Imaging course for the Master's level and transitional DPT Students. Consulted with the creator of the course on the develpment of course content and testing material.
- Visiting Instructor - University of North Florida - 1999-2001 - Taught in a variety of courses including modalities, therapeutic exercise, kinesiology, research and clinical integration courses. Supervised and consulted with graduate students on projects and research.
- Senior Physical Therapist - Baptist/St Vincent's Outpatient Services and Wolfson Children's Hospital/Nemours Children's Clinic - Jacsonville, FL - 1995-1999 - Primarily treated adolescent orthopedic and sport therapy patients. Help start a pediatric pain management team and hemophilia clinic at Nemours Children's Clinic. Participated in a number of reserch projects at Nemours.
- Assistant Professor - Institute of Physical Therapy, St. Augustine, FL - 1994-1995 - taught entry-level classes in basic assessment and skills, orthopaedic evaluation and therapeutic exercise. I served on the admissions committee and maintained a part-time practice.
- Adjunct Lecturer - Shenandoah University - 1993-1994 - taught introductory evaluation and treatment class, assisted in anatomy labs, and advised research groups.
- Outpaptient Therapist - Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA - 1993-1994 - Evaluation and treatement of orthopedic outpatient and inpatients. clinical instructor for PT students.
- Fellow in Sports Physical Therapy - Kentucky Rehabilitation Services, Ft. Mitchell, KY - 1992 - Selected to participate in a new fellowship program with Bob Mangine, PT, ATC. Fellowship included advanced clinical training, athletic training at Northern Kentucky University and I conducted clinical research projects.
- Western Montana Sports Medicine - Missoula, Mt - 1990-1992 - Evaluated and treated orthopedic and athletic patients in a health club setting.
- Deaconess Medical Center - Billings, MT - 1986-1989 - Worked with a variety of patient populations in a large medical center including the cardipulmonary programs. Assisted in the development of a work hardening program and satellite outpatient clinic.
