Accreditation and Licensure
Idaho State University's program in dental hygiene is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and by the United States Department of Education. It is also regionally approved by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.
Graduates are qualified for the written National Dental Hygiene Board Examination and subsequent clinical licensure exams in every state or region, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, as well as Canada and other foreign countries. They are also prepared to pursue graduate studies in dental hygiene or related fields.
