Lidia Brion-Silva and Ann Wetmore Attend ISU Commencement

Lidia Brion-Silva (Peekskill, NY) completed her thesis work entitled Comparison of Magnetostrictive & Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Instrumentation which was also presented at the American Dental Hygienists' Association Annual session in Washington, DC. Lidia represented ISU for the first ever Dentsply/ADHA Graduate Student Clinicians Program in June 2009. Lidia continues private practice and her part-time faculty position at the University of Bridgetport.
Ann O'Kelley Wetmore (Woodlands, TX) completed her thesis work entitled Use of Reflective Blogs to Promote Critical Thinking in Dental Hygiene Students which was presented American Dental Hygienists' Association Annual session in Washington, DC in June 2009. Ann has accepted a full-time tenure-track faculty position at Eastern Washington University.

ISU Dental Hygiene Goes to the NIH

Congressman Simpson lead the ISU faculty on a tour of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research as well as the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) during the North American Dental Hygiene Research Conference in June 2009.
