Katie cheered throughout junior high and high school, and competed nationally for three years.  She was co-captain of the ISU Cheerleaders for 2005-2006.  Katie was the 2005 ISU Cheerleading Newcomer of the Year.  She was a member of the ISU Cheerleading competition squad in 2006.
