Katie danced for twelve years with Cope’s Dance and Fitness Center in American Falls, Idaho where she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, clog, and tap.  At American Falls High School she participated in; cheerleading, drill team and was captain her senior year, and was Valedictorian of her graduating class.  Katie has won numerous dance solo awards.  Katie was Power County Junior Miss 2006, where she received awards in fitness, talent, self-expression, scholastic, and interview.  On the state level, she placed in the top ten and received awards in talent, fitness, and self-expression.  Katie has also received an academic scholarship to ISU.
