Jazz Ensembles I and II
Under the direction of
Dr. Patrick Brooks and Kevin York
Idaho State Bands boasts two university jazz ensembles: Jazz I and Jazz II. The Jazz Bands host the annual ISU Jazz Festival in February. Past guest artists at the Festival have included the Ray Brown Trio, The Fred Hirsch Trio, Allen Vizutti, Denis DiBlasio, Conrad Herwig and many others. This past summer Jazz I made its first tour of Europe, performing concerts in Prague, Bratislava, and Vienna.
