College Mission and Vision

Mission Statement of the College of Arts and Sciences: (see also university mission statement on which the college statement is necessarily based)

The mission of the College of Arts and Sciences is to provide its students the highest quality undergraduate and graduate education, firmly grounded in up-to-date research and creative endeavor; to serve the people of Idaho and beyond by advancing the state of knowledge and promoting the application of that knowledge within the arts and sciences fields; and to develop citizens who apply critical intelligence to the problems of the present and contribute to the creation of a better future within an increasingly global society.

Vision Statement of the College of Arts and Sciences: To gain a national reputation as the arts and sciences college in the Intermountain West that provides its undergraduate and graduate students with the highest quality education, firmly grounded in research, creative activity, and service to the community.
