Star Targets
Star targets help the printer monitor the uniformity of print conditions on the target.
The star target consists of a circular pattern of alternating solid and clear wedges that culminate at the center of the target in a tiny clear circle. In total, there are 36 solid wedges (each encompassing five degrees of rotation and separated by five degrees of white space).
The star targets are visually sensitive to a variety of print problems including excessive dot gain, slur, or doubling.
