Duotone Image
A duotone uses two colors to create rich tonal values in an image.
Black is typically for highlight and shadow areas and the additional color, in this case brown, is used to enhance the mid-tones. This process can use any second (duotone), third (tritone), or even fourth (quadtone) color to subtly change the representation of tones in an image.
