4-Color Process Image
The 4-color process image is used to check the color quality control used by the graphic designer and press operator in order to reproduce lifelike images.
Flesh tones are some of the most difficult tones to color correct, color manage, and reproduce. Close attention to detail is required when looking at the transitions between forehead, cheeks, and nose. Images of models with dark hair, and bright highlights on the skin, lips or in the eyes are a challenge when maintaining accurate color in the rest of the tones.
