Elluminate
Faculty Preparation
Instructors may find it benefical to complete the following tasks in preparation of their first Elluminate session.
Download the Software:
Please go to www.elluminate.com/support.
- In the First Time Users box, there are several resources for becoming Elluminate enabled. You will either see text saying "Congratulations, you appear to have the required software to launch Elluminate Live!" or a button saying "Download the required software." Please be sure you see the "Congratulations..." message before you proceed.
- For installation details, please see the Pre-configuration Information(PDF format 20KB).
Configure Your Audio:
- The Configuration Room is where you will set up and test your audio and microphone before the first session. Follow the instructions in the room but also understand that these are dynamic settings that will need to be adjusted from meeting to meeting. It is strongly recommended that you use a headset with a microphone to participate in the Elluminate sessions. If you decide to use your computer's built-in microphone and speakers, make sure that you attend from a quiet place where you can close the door (this is strongly discouraged if you are the Moderator).
Training
- Participate in the moderator training prior to teaching with Elluminate.
- Moderator training is provided by Elluminate staff online (http://www.elluminate.com/site/external/event/schedule )
- or by scheduling training with Clayn Lambert
- Complete an online orientation session for Elluminate with students.
Obtain a Classroom Link
- Instructors can obtain the link to a classroom from Jolene Welker, the Elluminate Scheduler, at 3906.
- Jolene will need this information to set up your class.
Technical Support
- Please contact Clayn Lambert at 3200 or Elluminate Live! Support if you have any difficulties or questions.
