Transfer Students

Students who are transferring to Idaho State University should be advised in order to facilitate the transfer of courses to ISU to assure fulfillment of core and general education courses. Other topics discussed during the advising appointment might include immunizations and testing related to infectious diseases, students as patients, potential disabilities, expenses, and scholarships.

All transfer students and ISU students with 57 credits or less need to fulfill:

Transfer students with 58 credits or more who do not have the acceptable Associate degree need to fulfill:

Existing Degree:
Individual's who have a Bachelor's degree or the AA, AS, or AA&S degree (Not AAS) from a regionally accredited institution have fulfilled the general education requirements at ISU. The Associate degree must have been received after 1994.

Transfer Students Applying for Admission:
Transfer students must apply to ISU before submitting the application to the Department of Dental Hygiene by completing the "Idaho State University Admission Application." Official transcripts are required and sent to the Idaho State University Admissions Office. ISU applications can be obtained at http://www.isu.edu/howtoapply.shtml. It is the student's responsibility to verify with the ISU Admissions Office receipt of the University Application and associated official transcripts.
