First Year Seminar
First Year Seminar (FYS) assists students in discovering how to be in charge of their own education, to embrace the meaning and value of becoming lifelong learners, and to focus on collaborative learning and active learning activities. Students will:
- Identify key campus resources and facilities.
- Define their academic and lifelong learning goals.
- Explain how academic and lifelong learning goals will be achieved.
- Explain how they will know academic success throughout their university experience.
- Explore their role as a member of the university community.
