Content Area Tutoring - Tutor Orientation
Welcome!
If you're going to be tutoring for the CAT program for the first time, we'll ask you to attend an in-person orientation session before you get started. These sessions cover CAT program procedures and paperwork and usually last a little less than an hour. Four group orientation sessions are scheduled for this spring, all in room MUS 432 in Pocatello:
- Friday, January 25, 12:00-1:00 pm
- Tuesday, January 29, 7:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday, February 7, 7:00-8:00 pm
- Wednesday, February 14, 7:00-8:00 pm
If you're in Pocatello and none of these times works for you, call us at 282-3662 or email us at cat@isu.edu to arrange an individual orientation session. If you're in Idaho Falls, call us at 282-7925 or email us at ifcat@isu.edu to arrange an individual orientation session.
If, however, you're a returning tutor, you don't have to come to a face-to-face orientation session. Instead, please:
- fill out a new application to be a tutor and turn it in to us either in Pocatello or Idaho Falls. You don't need to get the instructor's signature(s) again unless you want to tutor a course you've never tutored before, but we do need your current schedule and contact information.
- Complete the Returning Tutor Orientation on our "Peer Tutor" Moodle site. If you haven't used Moodle before or the site doesn't appear on your Moodle home page, contact Haydie at lecosuza@isu.edu or 282-4823.
We're looking forward to hearing from you!
