Content Area Tutoring - Job Opportunities

Content Area Tutoring (CAT) hires tutors in subjects ranging from Arabic to zoology on both the Idaho Falls and Pocatello campuses. Our tutors are typically undergraduate and graduate students, although we occasionally hire non-students to help with high-demand courses.

Beginning May 12, 2008, trainee tutor wages start at $7/hour for undergraduates and $9/hour for graduate students. They rise quickly to $7.25 and $9.25 after five hours of initial training and to $7.50 and $9.50 after five more required training hours. A further raise is available.

CAT tutors set their own hours. A tutor may choose to work a just few hours a week or, in a high-demand subject, may be able to work many more. All tutors must participate in ongoing training, not to exceed 10 hours per semester.

As a tutor, you won't just help other students be academically successful; you'll also learn more than you ever imagined about the subjects you tutor!
