Q) Do I need to attend the entire event or can I leave early for another obligation?
A) Tech Day is specifically planned to last from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants need to attend all sessions to get the most out of the event. We promise that the event will contain valuable information that will ensure that you are successful in college.
Q) How do I know that my registration has been successfully received?
A) After you submit your online registration form, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail. The confirmation letter will provide you with more information about the event and a signature release form. All participants need to sign the form and return it in the provided envelope. If you have not received a letter in the mail with five business days, please call (208) 282-3216.
Q) How do I cancel my registration if I can no longer attend Tech Day?
A) If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, please call (208) 282-3216. Due to space limitations, we want to make sure that everyone who signs up to attend the event is able to make it.
Q) Where should I park when I arrive at Idaho State University?
A) Parking is available in lot R08, located directly in front of the Roy F. Christensen Building (#48). A parking map will be mailed with your confirmation letter. The entire R08 parking lot is open for free parking and no pass is needed on Friday, November 1.
Q) Are my parents really invited to attend Tech Day?
A) Yes, your parents and/or guardian are also invited to attend Tech Day. The parents will be able to attend their own personalized sessions with the dean of the College of Technology. Parents will also go on a campus tour, learn about financial aid, and participate in breakfast and lunch. If your parents are also planning to attend the event, please mark "yes" on the registration form.
Q) What if I have dietary restrictions?
A) All dietary restrictions will be accommodated during the Tech Day event. Please specifically identify any restrictions on the registration form.
Q) Should I still attend Tech Day if I am undecided about attending ISU?
A) Yes, this event will answer all of your questions about Idaho State University. We understand that some students are still "undecided" about their future plans, and that's okay! We want to showcase the educational opportunities available at the College of Technology and help make your decision easier.
Q) Is transportation provided to get me to Idaho State University from my high school?
A) No, transportation is not provided to Idaho State University. Participants are responsible to arrange their own transportation to and from campus on Friday, November 1.
Q) Are there any unexpected costs related to Tech Day that I should know about?
A) No. The entire Tech Day event is free of charge. The College of Technology will provide each participant with breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt. Participants will also receive valuable information about paying for school and admission into programs.
Q) Should I still attend Tech Day if I am not going to go to college immediately following high school graduation?
A) Yes. We understand that some students will want to defer their enrollment for military or religious service. During the Tech Day event, we will answer questions about deferment policies and putting scholarships on hold.
