College of Technology Community Relations

Welcome to the Idaho State University College of Technology.
Community Relations offers a variety of services to help you discover the College of Technology!

Campus Visitations

We invite you to visit us on campus and see what the College of Technology and Idaho State University has to offer. A visit is perhaps the best way for you and your family to learn about our programs, services, and the campus community.
Visits may include a program tour, campus tour or an in-depth program shadow. Tours and program shadows are designed to allow perspective students the opportunity to visit programs of interest, meet instructors, and obtain specific program information.

Program Tours

Tours are offered Monday through Friday when classes are in session. Advance notice is preferred but walk in students will be accommodated when possible. A visit typically lasts thirty minutes per program. With advance notice, visitors may arrange to have lunch with an instructor or current student from a selected program.

Program Shadows

Program shadows may range from 2 hours to a full day spent in a specific program. These visits require at least two weeks notice. Overnight accommodations can be made available if you are coming for a program shadow.

Group Tours

Groups are encouraged to visit the College of Technology. Community Relations organizes group tours of all College of Technology programs and the ISU campus on Thursday mornings when classes are in session. These campus visits are for high school career classes or specific groups whose curriculum or program will be enhanced by having expanded knowledge of technical education. Tour participants will be given an overview of the College of Technology and Idaho State University prior to touring previously selected programs. Tours of programs housed off the main campus require additional plans and do not include transportation.
Take advantage of one of our tour programs and experience firsthand what is waiting for you!
