Massage Therapy Program Information
Massage Therapy is one of the fastest growing professions in the health care field. There is an ever-increasing acceptance of massage as a holistic approach to health care and health maintenance. As a result, opportunities for Massage Therapists are abundant. Career opportunities for the licensed Massage Therapist include private practice, health clubs, day and resort spas, beauty salons, sports teams, corporations (on-site or seated), stress reduction/relaxation centers and working in association with other health practitioners such as chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, physical therapists and psychologists.

Program begins in August
Program length is 2 1/2 semesters if prerequisites are already met otherwise the length will be 3 1/2 semesters.
Up to 20 students are admitted each year

Admission requirements: Application for Admission, Application fee, High school transcript or GED, COMPASS Placement Test or ACT scores

Prerequisites include:
Introduction to Allied Health Careers, Medical Terminology, Biology I, Biology I Lab, HO 111 Anatomy and Physiology or BIOL 301 and BIOL 302 Anatomy and Physiology.

Job Opportunities
Completion of this certificate program entitles the student to pursue additional coursework to receive the Associate of Applied Science Degree and Bachelor of Science in Health Science.All AAS degrees will articulate into the Bachelor of Applied Technology.
