The Graphic Arts program focuses on preparing students for work in the Graphic Communications industry. This large industry encompasses anywhere you see words or images. It is one of the largest industries in the world and continues to grow.
Our program’s curriculum is centered on instruction for print production. Students learn and practice graphic design principles and elements; the use of layout, illustration, and photo editing software to create comprehensive layouts; the processes for digital output of these layouts so they can be reproduced in the highest quality possible; using several types of offset presses to produce printed pieces that are single- or multi-color; and also to complete bindery work to finish pieces before they are delivered to a customer.
