Electrical Technician

Program Options

Certificates: Electrical Technician - 2 semesters

Completion of this certificate program entitles the student to pursue additional coursework to receive the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. The AAS degree articulates into ISU's Bachelor of Applied Technology Degree.

What do they do

These technicians assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems in houses, factories, and commercial buildings. Following blueprints, they install conduit, circuit breakers, switches, and outlets. They may work in construction or in maintenance.
