Graduate of the Diesel program in the mid 80s AAS Diesel Electric.
I worked as a Caterpillar Power Generation field Technician throughout Northern Nevada and Northern California. The primary industry was prime power for mining, and stand-by power systems. (casinos, hospitals, banks, communication sites, etc)
I returned to ISU as an instructor in 1996 to teach the On-site Power Generation program.
I very much enjoyed working in this industry and have enjoyed the opportunity to instruct future technicians. I believe that enjoying what you do for a living is one of the most important keys to having success in life. This has been and continues to be a "fun" road for me both as a technician and now as an instructor.

After completing and graduating from this program in 1984, I went right to work for Western States Caterpillar. I work for them for 21 years, 7 years in the main shop and 14 in the Hydraulic shop. It was there where I received my Mobile Hydraulic certification. For the past 4 years I have been teaching and sharing my experience with students and preparing them for a great future in the Diesel Mechanic field. I look forward to seeing you in our program.
