NAIL TECHNOLOGY - SUMMER ONLY
NAIL TECHNOLOGY 1/2 semester. A minimum of 11 credits is required for a postsecondary technical certificate in Nail Technology, designed to prepare students for the State Board Examination for Nail Technology Certification. Required course: COSM 150. Hours accrued in the Nail Technology option are not transferrable to the Cosmetology certificate.
COSM 150 PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF NAIL TECHNOLOGY 11 credits. This course is designed to prepare students for the State Board Examination for Nail Technology Certification. Course activities explore all types of nail care and design methods including manicuring, pedicuring, sculpted nail application, nail care, chemistry, biological concepts, anatomy and physiology of nails, and safety standards and procedures.
Classroom hours for Nail Technology are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
