Mission

The University Counseling and Testing Service serves Idaho State University with a dual mission. Our counseling services mission is to support the academic, emotional, social, vocational, spiritual, cultural, and professional development of students and other members of the ISU community by offering counseling, assessment, outreach, consultation, training, and educational and health promotion services. Our testing services mission is to initiate and provide a secure, professional, and proctored testing environment to meet individual, University, and community needs for admission, certification, licensure, correspondence, course placement, job placement, and academic course exams.

Values

We support and affirm the University’s core values of learning, diversity, engagement, leadership, responsiveness, and responsibility.  In so doing, we commit to a counseling and testing work environment that is welcoming and comfortable for all individuals, regardless of race, sex, gender, ethnic background, age, sexual orientation, spiritual identification, national origin, or disability. We further commit to an ethical, efficient, and wise use of both our fiscal and human resources in support of our dual mission.
