Master of Science

The Master of Science degree is a two year program that includes both academic coursework and clinical work on and off campus. Students successfully completing the Master's degree will be prepared to take the Praxis examination and enter the workforce to help those with communication needs. A student needs to have completed a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, (or equivalent pre-professional coursework) in order to apply for the graduate program in Speech Pathology. The Master of Science degree is offered on both of our traditional campuses: Pocatello and Meridian, ID.

Bachelor of Science

Undergraduates may begin taking classes in the spring semester of the sophomore year, if a GPA of at least 3.0 has been earned. Courses are available on our traditional campuses in Pocatello and Meridian, Idaho. Students must complete a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or complete a year of pre-professional courses (available in Pocatello, Meridian, or fully online) before applying to the Masters Program in Speech Pathology.

Online Programs

ISU offers a 36 month online programs for the Master of Science in Speech Pathology. This innovative degree program allows students to complete academic coursework in the comfort of their own homes, while continuing to work. Summer clinical experiences on campus enrich the program and prepare students to continue with clinical work in their home town area.
