Our college is made up of the following departments: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geosciences, Mathematics, Physics, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering & Health Physics.

Idaho State University's Shropshire, DeVeaux receive National Science Foundation Award of $247,000 for undergraduate research
The National Science Foundation has awarded Idaho State University physics Professor and Principal Investigator Steve Shropshire $247,732 through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program to support undergraduate research.
Eight undergraduate students from across the United States will be selected from 113 applications to participate each year for three years in a 10-week nuclear physics, radiobiology, and nuclear engineering research and education experience at ISU. This year, one of the eight students selected is from ISU. (more...)
CoSE Alumni Honored with 2012 Professional Achievement Awards
Two Idaho State University alumni from the College of Science and Engineering were honored with ISU Professional Achievement Awards at ISU Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 5, in Holt Arena. Award recipients are James W. Mahar, Pocatello, Natural and Physical Sciences, and Frank A. Angelo, Avon, Conn., Engineering. (more...)
