Professional Development Funding Guidelines
General Information
- The purpose is to provide supplemental financial support for COPE members in pursuit of professional development.
- Individual funding is limited to a maximum of $250.00 per fiscal year.
- Only one award will be funded per event in each department.
- COPE awards cannot be used to pay for professional dues or memberships.
Eligibility
- All COPE members are eligible for award funding.
Application
- Complete the Funding Request Form and print and mail or email to Connie Guthrie, Stop 8077, or guthconn@isu.edu.
- All applications for funding will be evaluated and approved/disapproved by the COPE board members at the next monthly board meeting.
Evaluation of Application
- The application will be reviewed and discussed by the COPE Board.
- Upon approval or denial the applicant will be notified by the Secretary or Treasurer. If approved, the employee will be directed about how to obtain the funds.
Report of Activity
- At the conclusion of the workshop or seminar, the applicant will submit a written report of the activities to the COPE Board.
- The report should include the benefits to the employee and university.
A report to the Board on the value of the event will be requested. Also, the COPE member may be requested to share any information they received with all COPE members as needed.
