NEWS: NEW INDIRECT COST RATES According to a letter received from the Department of Health & Human Services dated March 24, 2004, Idaho State University will have the following negotiated indirect cost rates effective for grants and contracts awarded after July 1, 2004 and before June 30, 2008: On-Campus - 49.0% and Off-Campus - 19.0% Only new contracts will be charged at this rate. Existing contracts will remain at their original contracted rate unless the higher rate is approved by the funding agency in writing. These percentages are applied against the Salaries and Wages charged to a grant. Y DRIVE Starting in March, 2002 (February's activity), the monthly activity reports are available to Deans and selected Department Chairs in a "Y" (NTCWIS) drive folder with the name of "gc_[your department]_s" (Grants and Contracts..your department name..shared). If you do not have the "Y" drive mapped on your computer, contact the help desk at 282-4357 for directions for doing so. The folders will be access protected. If you do not have access and feel you should please feel free to contact our office. ACROBAT READER The reports are in Adobe Acrobat format and will require the Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view them. Anyone who may not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader should contact the Computer Help Desk at extension 4585 to make arrangement to have the Reader installed on your machine or you can download it yourself for free from Adobe Acrobat Reader - Download. If you so choose you may still print out a hard copy from the Acrobat reports.
