Continuing Education

Welcome to Continuing Education

Are you finally ready to take time for yourself this fall and are you looking for that special program that's just right for you? Let us help. Idaho State University's Division of Continuing Education and Conference Services offers an abundance of classes and conferences each year with options for everyone. Browse our catalog online and discover our diverse lineup of learning opportunities.

Lifelong learners interested in picking up some Spanish knowledge or practicing what they already know are invited to register for our Spanish conversation courses facilitated by an experienced native speaker. If you are into taking photos, go ahead and sign up for our Beginning Digital Photography class, where you'll learn how to get the perfect digital shot every time, or acquaint yourself with photo-editing programs through our Beginning Photoshop CS2® class.

If you're looking for some good aerobic exercise to get you fit and trim, try one of our dance classes. We are again offering favorites such as Country Swing and Two-Step as our Ballroom Dance series, featuring Tango and Waltz.

We will also continue to offer our highly popular interactive culinary classes to be held at the Albion Hall food lab in the College of Education. With 10 cooking units, the lab is designed for interactive learning in a hands-on environment. These instructor-led classes begin with a brief demonstration of a recipe or cooking technique and then students break up into groups to complete their cooking assignment. The groups then reconvene to sample one another's delicious recipes and discuss their work in the kitchen.

Go ahead, browse our website. We know you'll find something that fits you, whether it's an online course to improve a skill, an interactive culinary class, our S.N.A.R.F. summer science camp for kids, an enriching experience with Elderhostel or New Knowledge Adventures, or an educational conference for 5 to 1,000 participants. Don't delay; call (208) 282-3155 to register today!
