Residency
There is significant tuition cost savings for Idaho Residents.
United States citizens who are residents of another state may work toward Idaho residency while they are attending school (this option is not available to international students).
In order to become an Idaho resident and receive the benefit of paying the lower in-state tuition, students must meet five of the seven requirements for the 12 months preceding enrollment at ISU.
- Registration and payment of Idaho motor vehicle fees
- Registration to vote in Idaho
- Holds Idaho drivers license
- Evidence of abandonment of previous domicile
- Presence of household goods in Idaho
- Establishment of financial accounts in Idaho
- Member of any Idaho Native American Indian Tribe
