Counseling

The Center for New Directions (CND) offers Career and Educational Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or both, depending on the needs and request of the client.

Idaho Career Information System

Check with your CND counselor about access to the Idaho Career Information System. This on-line program provides information you need to plan your next step toward achieving your education or employment goal! It presents information on Occupations, Scholarships, Tuition, Job Search, Education, Financial Aid, Job Outlook, Salaries and Wages, Employers, Hiring Practices, Colleges and More.

CND counselors have information about the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) programs offered through the Energy Systems Technology and Education Center (ESTEC) in the College of Technology at Idaho State University. The new AAS programs are the Energy Systems Electrical Engineering Technology program; the Energy Systems Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology program; and the Energy Systems Mechanical Engineering Technology (available August 2009). ESTEC can offer assistance with the following funding sources to qualified applicants: Scholarships; Financial Aid; and Internships with Energy Partners. Check the ESTEC website for more information.
