Career Fairs & Events

Overview

The Career Center annually sponsors several Career Fairs. Attending these events provides an excellent opportunity for your company to meet with and identify potential part-time, seasonal, internship/cooperative education, or full-time applicants. You are invited to attend any fair appropriate to your hiring needs.

Majors, Minors, and Graduate School Fair

October 28, 2008. Excellent opportunity for ISU departments to come and talk with students about programs of study on campus. Students from all levels will be attending to gather information about all aspects of majors and graduate programs. 12pm to 4pm in the SUB Ballroom. Fall and Spring Career Fairs

Date and Time: Fall: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM; Spring: TBA
Areas of Study Focus: Business, Engineering, Arts and Sciences
Location: Idaho State University, Student Union Ballroom, Pocatello, ID
Cost: $120 per company, $10 for every representative beyond the first. $30 late fee if registering February 17 or later. This includes breakfast snacks and drinks, lunch tickets, and drinks throughout the event.
Attendance: Usually around 700 students. Broad mix of majors with the exception of those majoring in education and health areas. Most students are graduating soon or are looking for internships, however there are always some proactive students that attend for career exploration and planning.
Registration: Go to the Bengal Jobs system. If you have ever listed a position or attended an event at ISU, you will have a login and password. If you do not know your password, you can reset it by following the "Forgot your password?" link. You may also call our office for your username and password. If you are registering for the first time on our system, you will not be able to register for a Career Fair until we approve your registration (registration is usually approved within a few hours). Once you are registered, you will see a Career Events tab that you need to click on to register for the appropriate event.

Health Professions Career Fair

Date and Time: October 21, 2009
Areas of Study Focus: Health Professions students including those exploring health professions fields, students searching for professional programs, and students searching for positions upon graduation.
Location: Idaho State University, Student Union Ballroom , Pocatello, ID
Cost: $95 per institution, $10 for every representative beyond the first. This includes breakfast snacks and drinks, $10 lunch ticket, and drinks throughout the event.
Attendance: Up to 450 students. Broad mix of attendees including students graduating in professional programs searching for positions, students searching for professional health programs, and high school students exploring career options.
Registration: Go to the Bengal Jobs system. If you have ever listed a position or attended an event at ISU, you will have a login and password. Education Career Fair

Date and Time: April 7, 2010
Areas of Study Focus: All areas within K-12
Location: Idaho State University, Stephens Performing Arts Center, Pocatello, ID
Cost: $50 per institution, $10 for every representative beyond the first. Registration increases to $80 two weeks prior to the event. This includes breakfast snacks and drinks, boxed lunches, and drinks throughout the event.
Attendance: Usually around 180 students. Broad mix of education majors. Some SLP students do attend. Most attending students are graduating within the year, however there are some students attending to explore career options as well as plan their careers.

Date and Time: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 10am to 2pm
Location: Rendezvous Bldg., Room 130 A, B, & C
