Career Fairs & Events
Overview
The Career Center annually sponsors several Career Fairs. Attending these events provides an excellent opportunity for your company to meet with and identify potential part-time, seasonal, internship/cooperative education, or full-time applicants. You are invited to attend any fair appropriate to your hiring needs.
Career Fair Parking and Directions Map
Education Career Fair
Date and Time: Monday, April 7, 2008 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM
Areas of Study Focus: All areas within K-12
Location: Idaho State University, top floor of Student Union, Pocatello, ID
Cost: $50 per institution, $10 for every representative beyond the first. This includes breakfast snacks and drinks, full buffet lunch, and drinks throughout the event.
Attendance: Usually around 180 students. Broad mix of education majors. Some SLP students do attend. Most attending students are graduating within the year, however there are some students attending to explore career options as well as plan their careers.
Registration: Go to the Bengal Jobs system. If you have ever listed a position or attended an event at ISU, you will have a login and password. If you do not know your password, you can reset it by following the "Forgot your password?" link. You may also call our office for your username and password. If you are registering for the first time on our system, you will not be able to register for a Career Fair until we approve your registration (registration is usually approved within a few hours). Once you are registered, you will see a Career Events tab that you need to click on to register for the appropriate event.
Spring Career Fair
Date and Time: Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM
Areas of Study Focus: Business, Engineering, Arts and Sciences
Location: Idaho State University, Student Union Ballroom, Pocatello, ID
Cost: $120 per company, $10 for every representative beyond the first. This includes breakfast snacks and drinks, full buffet lunch, and drinks throughout the event.
Attendance: Usually around 700 students. Broad mix of majors with the exception of those majoring in education and health areas. Most students are graduating soon or are looking for internships, however there are always some proactive students that attend for career exploration and planning.

Part-Time Employment Fair
Great opportunity to meet new and continuing ISU students and inform them of your part-time employment opportunities. All campus employers (including work study and non-college work study positions) and off-campus employers are invited to attend the FREE event. It will be held Wednesday August 29, 2007 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. Call the Career Center with any questions at 282-2380.
Health Professions Career Fair
The Health Professions Career Fair is open to all health care organizations interested in recruiting for full or part-time career opportunities. This fair will be held on October 10, 2007. This year, we will also include professional health programs from other universities. List of companies that attended last year's fair.
College Majors and Graduate School Fair
October 31, 2007. Excellent opportunity for ISU departments to come and talk with students about programs of study on campus. Students from all levels will be attending to gather information about all aspects of majors and graduate programs. 10am to 1pm in the SUB Ballroom.
Fall Career Fair
Advertise upcoming vacancies, coordinate an opportunity to meet this year's grads prior to your on-campus recruiting date and/or meet with sophomores and juniors looking for internship/cooperative education opportunities by participating in the Fall Career Fairs. This year's fair will be on November 6, 2007 in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. List of Registered Companies.
