Idaho State University Bengal Dancers

Bengal Dance Team

The ISU Bengal Dancers 2012-2013 squad is a 15 member squad. The team has a variety of performances throughout the year. They perform at Football games, men’s and women’s Basketball games, and will even make appearances at soccer, volleyball and rugby. They also promote school spirit at school activities and town events by entertaining and encourage crowd involvement.

The Bengal Dancers enjoy doing various volunteer activities throughout the year. They have worked with the Idaho Food Bank, Salvation Army, Veterans Home and Bannock House. They are always adding new groups each year.

The Bengal Dancers also represent ISU at USA, NDA and/or UDA competitions every year, where they have won two National Championships in 2008 Large Open Jazz and 2007 Hip Hop. The squad has been Nationally ranked in the top 10 since 2000. They won 2nd place last year at USA and NDA Nationals also winning “Most Innovative Choreography” award.

The team is coached by Kolissa Manchan. This is her 3rd season as head coach of the Bengal Dancers.
