The James Rogers Department of Communication, Media and Persuasion and the Department of English and Philosophy are pleased to co-sponsor a series of presentations by Master Letterpress Printer Mary Risala Laird. Ms. Laird has taught at the San Francisco Center for the Book for the last fifteen years, where she specializes in fine press printing. In addition to founding the Quelquefois Press in 1969, she has published over one hundred letterpress books that feature hand-painted etchings and unique type design. Her work is held in collections at the British Library, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the New York Public Library, and Stanford, Harvard, and Yale Universities, among others. Please join us to see a Master Printer at work.
