Message Title: Declaring Your Major and Catalog Year, October 1 & 2, Harvest Your Potential series

Please pass on to your students, thank you.

Declaring Your Major and Catalog Year, part of the Harvest Your Potential series, will be October 1 and 2 in Rendezvous Suites A, B, or C. Tuesday's presentation is from 12:30-1:00 pm. Wednesday's presentation is from 12:15-12:45 pm. Don't miss this important presentation!

What should you do before you declare a major? Have you done the research, taken the introductory courses, and received the career and major guidance necessary to declare a major that sticks? If you declare a major that isn't a good fit for for your skills and abilities, you run the risk of taking unnecessary courses, receiving poor grades, and being in school longer than you planned. What is Catalog Year? Why see an academic advisor? What is Degree Audit? Learn the answers to these important questions and take home helpful handouts.

Harvest Your Potential is a semester-long series of events sponsored by Central Academic Advising, designed to foster student academic and career success. Students who participate in the most Harvest Your Potential activities will be invited to an end-of-semester reception with food, giveaways, and networking opportunities.

You can pick up your punchcard at Central Academic Advising in the Museum Building, room 307 or the Student Success Center in the Rendezvous building, room 323 . Additional information is available at www.isu.edu/advising. If you have any questions about Harvest Your Potential, please contact Nancy Goodman at goodnanc@isu.edu or 282-3277.
